The ZIP drive by Iomega accepts special 100MB or 250MB cartridges only. ZIP is not a standard, but has nearly become one with it's wide distribution and volume of sales. ZIP disks are a great way to hold that data that just won't fit on a floppy. Plus, it's lots faster than a floppy. Nowadays however, USB thumb drives have replaced the Floppy, LS120 and ZIP drives. |
