ZIP DRIVE
Home ] Up ]

The ZIP drive by Iomega accepts special 100MB or 250MB cartridges only.  ZIP is not a standard, but has nearly become one with it's wide distribution and volume of sales.  ZIP disks are a great way to hold that data that just won't fit on a floppy.  Plus, it's lots faster than a floppy.

Nowadays however, USB thumb drives have replaced the Floppy, LS120 and ZIP drives.
