Cullmann CT100 Tripod |

This tripod is rather amazing. High quality and very stable. I highly recommend this tripod. Fully extended with a ball mount brings the camera right to the height I need it for shooting pictures without hunching over. The Titan is rated at providing 63.4" extended and 28.7" closed with a weight of 8.6lbs and a capacity of 154lbs with a leg spread of 28 degrees. The main features I like are: 1. The legs are lowered by clips on the top near the mount. I hate tripods that have multi leg locks. They are always a pain and too flimsy. This is the only tripod I have seen with this feature. 2. The center column is an air filled piston that you simply raise into position and press a button to release it back down. There is also a locking collar on the mount top to lock the piston into place. I hate tripods with cranks. The crank is always getting in the way and they are too flimsy. 3. The tripod has is a reversible 1/4" - 3/8" bolt to accommodate any type of head you may choose. The bolt is held in place with an Allen head screw and the Allen wrench T-handle is kept on the tripod. Adorama sells a 38" nylon bag that accommodates this rig very nicely. |
